Travel plans you can trust, from a human-powered photographer & author

If I didn’t actually go, I’m not rendering an opinion. Any other approach simply wouldn’t be fair - to the destination or to you. We all know the internet is filled with shit content, so I’ve gone the long and hard way to get there so you don’t have to. I hope you’ll act - particularly at a time when society needs to travel more than ever before. Delivered weekly - now go travel!

  • Makes it easier to trust though, right? I’m doing this for exactly three reasons: for fun, to sell memberships to the Travel Library, and to get your ass off the couch - in that order. No bullshit from the start is SO refreshing.

  • I don’t expect you to hightail it to each of these destinations, but that won’t stop me from giving it my best college try. My favorite nights away from home typically involve the deep wilderness, but even those of us who despise concrete have to venture into the big city sometimes. I’ll make sure to cover the best locations to hide out in plain sight along the way if you’re looking for more… traditional accommodation.

  • I’ll always tell you what I think - good bad and ugly. But more often than not I”ll be getting out of the way and doing more show than tell.

Here’s a sneak preview of a destination you will get when you sign up today for free

OFF THE GRID | SKELLIG ISLANDS // IRELAND - Leica M9-P

OFF THE GRID | SKELLIG ISLANDS // EMAIL 000

You could feel the ocean hanging in the air as soon as you stepped outside - it was cold, and with heavy clouds building I didn’t have much hope we would get to see the islands on our way out after all. Thousands of miles travelled all to take a boat that’s far too small with waves far too large across 7.4 nautical miles of sea to the ultimate monastery of isolation.

Everywhere else I went after that was sort of ruined

My Dad, a Delta employee loading me on my first solo flight from Atlanta, GA to Asheville, NC at the age of 9 in 1997.

The anti-influencer

Long time traveller // first time creator

Complete with embarrassing origin photo. Since that first solo trip in 1997, I’ve stumbled through three dozen countries and all 50 49 states (Hawaii). Most of the time, I had the privilege of following people with a passion for flashin authentic, slower travel where - and watch out for this one - you might actually learn something along the way.

I’m no expert, and that’s not humility - it quite literally couldn’t be as I charge admission for access to my personal Travel Library. Why paywall? In the age of AI, I’m not interested in a platform I don’t have control over and would rather be brutally honest in my advice and reviews. For a twenty dollar bill you have access for life - welcome to the future. Until then, enjoy the free newsletter and I hope to see you down the road.
