The 135th Kentucky Derby

What an amazing race the derby was this year. I spent most of derby day gathering and producing a multimedia piece on the infield that I will post tomorrow.

Fast and the Furious star Tyrese Gibson (blue) was my celebrity sighting for the day. Michael Jordan was right behind him but didn’t come up to the rail for a picture.

First time down the stretch (derby winner mine that bird is nowhere in sight)

Calvin Borel heads to the winners circle. What an amazing Derby. The odds on mine that bird were 51-1. Borel was in last place until after rounding turn 4 when he hugged the inside rail and passed every horse. The NBC anouncer could barley spit out his name before he crossed the line.
